Job Overview
As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, effective, and high-quality pharmaceutical care.
You will work closely with patients, healthcare professionals, and pharmacy staff while ensuring compliance with Australian pharmacy standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Dispense prescription medications after reviewing patient medication histories and confirming appropriate dosages and administration methods.
Verify prescriptions prepared by pharmacy interns and dispensing technicians.
Counsel patients on the safe and effective use of medications.
Prepare and supervise the compounding and labelling of pharmaceutical products, including liquid medicines, ointments, powders, and capsules where required.
Monitor and evaluate patients' medication therapies to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
Advise medical practitioners on drug interactions, contraindications, and medication compatibility.




Maintain accurate prescription records, including documentation relating to controlled substances, narcotics, and scheduled medicines.
Ensure the correct storage and preservation of vaccines, serums, and temperature-sensitive medications.
Administer National Immunisation Program (NIP), COVID-19, and Western Australia-approved vaccinations, while supporting future pharmacy vaccination services.
Provide clinical services including uncomplicated UTI treatment and Oral Contraceptive Pill (OCP) continuation after appropriate training.
Supply over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products while offering professional advice to customers.
Manage dispensary inventory through efficient ordering and stock control processes.
Operate and maintain MedAdvisor and other pharmacy dispensing systems.
Lead and mentor pharmacy staff while promoting excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all Pharmacy Board of Australia, Pharmacy Guild of Australia, and relevant State and Federal regulations.
Support the implementation of the 8CPA Skilled Pharmacy Program and embrace future developments within the pharmacy profession.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should possess:
Registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.




Minimum Provisional AHPRA Registration.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
High attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Outstanding customer service and team collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team.

Experience
At least 1 year of pharmacy experience is preferred.
Salary
From AUD $80,000 per year
