Mental Health Manager - Psychiatric Triage Service, VPer and PARCs
Lead services that are at the forefront of mental health care and make a meaningful impact every day.
The Mental Health Manager - Psychiatric Triage Service (PTS), Victorian Police Electronic Referral (VPeR) and Narre Warren PARCs, provides strategic, clinical and operational leadership across three highly specialised services within the Casey Adult Mental Health Program.
Reporting to the Community Mental Health Service Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver responsive, recovery-oriented care to consumers experiencing mental health challenges across crisis response, police referrals and residential recovery services.
Working in partnership with Clinical Leads, you will drive service excellence, workforce engagement and continuous improvement while ensuring high-quality, safe and person-centred care.
This is a diverse leadership role where no two days are the same.
You'll oversee service delivery, operational performance, workforce capability, quality and safety, financial accountability and service innovation, while building strong partnerships across Monash Health, Victoria Police and a broad network of community organisations.
This full time, ongoing, opportunity is open to experienced Social Workers, Occupational Therapists & Mental Health Nurses (RPN).
Based across Monash Health sites located in Endeavour Hills, Dandenong, and Narre Warren, travel between these and other Monash Health sites as necessary to meet operational and service delivery requirements.
Accordingly, a valid Victorian driver's licence is an essential requirement of this position.
About the Team
The Casey Adult Mental Health Service supports one of Melbourne's fastest-growing communities and is recognised for delivering contemporary,
recovery-focused mental health care across a broad range of specialist services.
This leadership role oversees three unique and highly collaborative programs:
Psychiatric Triage Service (PTS) - providing a 24/7 statewide telephone triage and access service to Mental Health Services.
Victorian Police Electronic Referral (VPeR) - partnering with Victoria Police to provide timely mental health follow-up and early intervention across Victoria.
Narre Warren PARCs - delivering both Adult PARC and Extended PARC residential services that support consumers through recovery, rehabilitation and transition back to the community.

To be successful, you'll demonstrate:
Extensive senior clinical and leadership experience within mental health services.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage complex operational environments and deliver high-quality consumer outcomes.
Strong knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act ****, recovery-oriented practice and contemporary mental health service delivery.
Experience leading workforce development, quality improvement, change management and service innovation.
Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills.
A commitment to building psychologically safe, inclusive and high-performing teams.
You'll hold the relevant qualifications and registration for your discipline, along with postgraduate mental health qualifications or equivalent experience, as outlined in the position description documentation below.
