About the Prospect
We are seeking experienced and reliable Sewing Machinists to provide independent contract sewing services to support our production requirements.
This opportunity is suitable for skilled sewing professionals who operate independently and have the experience, capability, and equipment required to complete sewing and garment production work to a high standard.
The successful contractor will be responsible for completing agreed sewing work in accordance with required specifications, quality standards, and agreed timeframes.
Rates will be negotiated and agreed on a job-by-job basis, depending on the scope of work, complexity, and production requirements
Key Responsibilities
Complete sewing, stitching, alterations, and finishing work as required.
Produce quality work in line with provided specifications and production requirements.
Operate sewing equipment safely and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.




Complete agreed work within required deadlines.
Communicate effectively regarding production requirements, timelines, and any issues.
Maintain a secure and suitable working environment.
Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist or in a similar garment production role.
Experience using industrial sewing machines.
Robust attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and manage agreed production requirements.
Reliable, organized, and able to meet agreed deadlines.
Operate as an independent contractor/subcontractor.
Hold or be able to obtain an Australian Business Number (ABN).
Be responsible for your own taxation, insurance, equipment, and business obligations.
Manage your own work methods and business operations.
Right to work in Australia
Payment terms and rates will be agreed based on the scope of work, experience, capability, and production requirements.
