anticipates and controls hazardous and unsafe conditionsPromotes healthy and safe working methods and practices in the workplacePlans and co-chairs OHS CommitteeCoordinates emergency proceduresAdministers the safety management system to ensure all safety-related matters are recorded and closed out successfullyAdheres and contributes towards maintainingReviews existing policies and measures and updates them in accordance with legislative requirements in consultation with the GHRMCoordinates safety training programsAdministers Contractor Training system (Rapid Global), trains users, liaises with Contractors if required, and resolves and monitors all matters relating to SDI Induction, WorkCover insurance, Public Liability insurance and licencing requirementsAssists Global HR Manager with delivering the HR StrategyMaintains employee personnel history and record keepingManages casual contractor pool and acts a as main contact for Recruitment AgenciesFormats, reviews and writes policies under Global HR Manager guidanceAssists the Global HR Manager in rolling out two employee engagement surveys per annum and coordinating activities associated with addressing any anomaliesKey Relationships (Internal & External)EmployeesManagers and SupervisorsPayroll ManagerHR TeamJob EnvironmentThe position is located at Bayswater and MontroseWorking hours: 38 hour weekLocal travelEducation LevelBachelor's DegreeEssential ExperienceRecent qualified graduate with Bachelor of Business (HR major)Certificate 4 Health & SafetyExperience practitioner with manufacturing background is a plusKnowledge and skillsExcellent people skillsGood mathematical aptitudeSound knowledge of computerised systems and MS suites eg Salesforce, SkyTrustPersonal QualitiesRequires the ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and to work to strict deadlinesCommercially savvyClassification LevelSpecialCurrencyAUDSalary Minimum$90,000.00Salary Maximum$100,000.00Salary PeriodPer AnnumBenefitsPlus Superannuation
