The Opportunity

HammondCare’s Respite Cottages provide short‑term accommodation and individualized support for older guests during stays of up to ten nights. As a Specialised Carer you’ll deliver personalized care and create a welcoming, home‑like environment.

About the role

In this role you will provide care for clients across our Wahroonga & Terrey Hills Cottages. Hourly rates range from $31.95 to $35.44, plus penalties. Shifts include:

- Morning shift – 7:15am to 2:45pm
- Afternoon shift – 2:45pm to 9:45pm
- Night shift – 9:30pm to 7:45am

Responsibilities

- Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
- Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
- Support guests during overnight or extended stays
- Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally

Qualifications & Experience

- Available to work across Wahroonga & Terrey Hills sites
- Patient, solutions‑focused, and a people‑person
- Previous experience in aged or community care, or willingness to start a career in aged care
- Valid driver’s licence and access to an insured, reliable car
- CertificateIII in Aged Care or Individual Support (preferred,



but not required – we offer support for those wishing to qualify)
- First aid certificate desirable
- Empathy and compassion are a must
- Good administrative and computer skills, including use of a smartphone
- Strong team player with professional communication and confidentiality
