Position Information

Collarenebri Central School is a Connected Communities satellite school with a current enrolment of 69 students. The school provides a Kindergarten to Year 12 multi-stage comprehensive educational experience with academic, creative, physical, social-emotional and cultural programs. Staff focus on explicit teaching to meet the needs of all learners, improve literacy and numeracy, and foster high expectations, robust community connections and mutual respect. Small class sizes enable differentiated learning programs that reflect students’ learning needs, interests and talents.

Specific Selection Criteria

1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with Behaviour Difficulties and Emotional Disturbance.
2. Ability to differentiate the curriculum through personalised learning and support that is culturally responsive, maximises student growth, fosters high expectations and promotes student engagement.
3. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute to whole-school culture and collaborate with students, staff, parents/carers, external agencies and the wider community.
4. Evidence of successful classroom management with flexible and adaptive strategies that create a positive learning environment, including early intervention strategies.
5. Knowledge and understanding of the Connected Communities Strategy key deliverables.





Conditions

Recruitment Bonus of $20,000 (conditions apply) and a relocation support payment of $5,000 to $8,000 for eligible applicants. The Recruitment Bonus is paid on a pro rata basis for permanent part-time teachers and executive staff. The maximum recruitment bonus for a position is $20,000, including any job share arrangements.

An unconditional full approval to teach is required. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process when applying for this teaching opportunity.
