School Crossing Supervisor – Casual – Tamworth Local Government Area

Transport for NSW is seeking a community‑minded individual to provide safety supervision at school crossing sites around Tamworth during school term hours (8:00‑9:30 am and 2:30‑4:00 pm, Monday to Friday). The role is casual, offering relief coverage as shifts of at least one hour are required.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a Road Safety Hero and be a visible, trusted safety presence at school cross‑walking points.
- Assist in managing traffic flow and ensuring safe interactions between motorists, pedestrians, and school children.
- Communicate clearly with parents, teachers, motorists and other stakeholders.
- Respond effectively to potential dangers and maintain a safe environment.





Qualifications & Requirements

- Must be at least 18 years of age at appointment.
- Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check and a Health Assessment (assistance provided if not already obtained).
- Reliable and prepared to work in all weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and alertness to safety hazards.

Compensation & Perks

Hourly rate of AU$34.84 plus superannuation.

Training, uniforms and equipment are provided. The position is in‑person and on‑site.
