As a Lifestyle Carer at Piper House, you will help create meaningful moments and connections for our aged care residents.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lifestyle programs that promote social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and a sense of purpose for residents.
- Facilitate group and individual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
- Support residents in maintaining independence and dignity through meaningful engagement.
- Collaborate with care teams to integrate lifestyle support into holistic care plans.
- Encourage participation and build strong relationships with residents and families.
What we’re looking for
We need a warm, empathetic and creative individual who is passionate about enhancing the lives of older people and who shares our values of integrity, justice, compassion, and excellence.
Qualifications and experience
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health,
or a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Health Science or Community Services.
- Experience in planning and delivering lifestyle or recreational activities.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence (preferred).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (required).
- Availability to work permanent Tuesday and Thursday shifts (9am-5pm).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented attitude and ability to adapt activities to meet diverse needs and preferences.
