The Role

We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our urgent care service. As a vital team member, you will provide high‑quality nursing support and ensure all patients that present to the urgent care service are identified as appropriate, triaged promptly and provided with frontline care in collaboration with the urgent care medical practitioner. Your Responsibilities

- Be the first point of contact for patients in urgent care—take charge of triaging every patient who walks through the door with accuracy, empathy, and confidence.
- Conduct thorough and precise nursing triage—quickly assess patient needs and prioritize care to ensure the best outcomes.
- Act decisively in critical moments—identify and elevate emergencies or patient deterioration without hesitation to safeguard patient health.
- Put your clinical skills to work—perform hands‑on procedural care such as suturing and plastering, expanding your expertise in a fast‑paced environment.
- Thrive in a dynamic, ever‑changing setting—demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as you respond to the unique challenges of urgent care.
- Deliver compassionate, patient‑centered care—collaborate closely with patients, families, carers and medical practitioners to ensure a supportive care experience.

About You (Qualifications)

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Availability for evenings and weekends.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in one of the following: emergency department triage, ICU, CCU, rural or remote nursing.
- Preferred previous experience in triage within an emergency department or remote nursing.
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and elevate appropriately.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.
- Capability to work autonomously and delegate when appropriate.
- Passion for patient‑centered care and a personable approach.
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
- Required to provide Working with Children’s check, National Police check if not already obtained and International police check where relevant.

Commitment to Child Safety & Code of Conduct

- Comply with child safety policies and the Code of Conduct.
- Complete mandatory child safety training on commencement and annually.
- Maintain professional standards that support the safety and wellbeing of children and vulnerable people.
