The Role
A Major regional referral hospital are seeking expressions of interest from ICU Registrars looking to strengthen their critical care training within a high volume intensive care service.
This position offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced Intensive Care Specialists, managing a broad spectrum of critically ill adult patients while developing advanced clinical decision making and procedural skills. The service provides exposure to complex presentations within a collaborative multidisciplinary environment, making it an excellent step for doctors pursuing a career in Intensive Care Medicine, Anaesthesia, Emergency Medicine or other acute care specialties.
Importantly, this is a Workplace-Based Assessment (WBA) accredited hospital , offering an established pathway for eligible international medical graduates seeking to achieve general registration through the WBA program.

Training & Development
Training is a key focus of the department, with opportunities to:
- Develop critical care expertise under the supervision of experienced Intensive Care Consultants.
- Gain broad exposure to complex adult intensive care presentations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and collaborative patient management.
- Enhance procedural skills and clinical confidence within a well-supported training setting.
- Attend regular teaching sessions, case discussions and continuing professional development activities.
- Join a Workplace-Based Assessment (WBA) accredited hospital , providing an established assessment pathway for eligible doctors.

Requirements
- Eligible for registration with AHPRA.
- Demonstrated experience appropriate for an ICU Registrar position.
- Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
