The position will embrace excellence in student engagement to prepare, monitor and mentor students in relation to their professional placement.
This will include building and managing a portfolio of industry relationships and providing on-going support and guidance to these providers.Desired Skills and ExperienceDegree qualified in a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated business development skills and ability to build, maintain and develop solid external and internal relationshipsAn understanding of recruitment and placement processes, with an interest in supporting students to develop and enhance their graduate employability skillsDemonstrate an understanding of work-integrated learning and its relevance to the required industriesDemonstrated cross cultural skills and an understanding of the different approaches requiredSuperior computing skills (word, excel, powerpoint etc)Ability to plan, organise and achieve work targets, sometimes in demanding circumstances and work harmoniously and constructively with colleaguesDemonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skillsAttention to detail and an ability to focus on continuous improvementDemonstrate an ability to work collaboratively across an organisation to implement key initiatives and projectsAbility to work according to a timeline and accomplish key deliverables by balancing competing prioritiesPrevious experience in the areas of study offered by the College (Desirable)An understanding of the Australian HE and VET sectors (Desirable)
