This role offers the chance to work on projects that contribute to Australia's energy transition and critical infrastructure development.This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer with 6–8 years' post-qualification experience to work on complex, business-critical matters within a collaborative and expanding legal function.
The team currently comprises four lawyers and is continuing to grow in line with the organisation's ambitious project pipeline.
The role
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will provide strategic legal support on a diverse range of matters, including:
Project development and deliveryEPC and D&C; contractsOperations and maintenance agreementsRenewable energy and power generation projectsWaste-to-energy and utilities projectsMajor infrastructure transactionsPPPs, concessions and large-scale procurement projectsCommercial contracts and project risk management
About you
To be successful, you will ideally have:




6–8 years' PQE gained in a leading law firm or sophisticated in-house environmentExperience advising on energy, infrastructure, construction or major projects mattersStrong drafting and negotiation skills across complex commercial arrangementsExperience with project development, EPC, O&M;, PPP or major procurement transactionsExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsA pragmatic, commercial approach to legal advice
We are also interested in speaking with infrastructure and construction lawyers who have substantial experience in PPPs, D&C;, EPC, concessions, operations and maintenance arrangements, and other major project work.
