Graduate Consultant / Consultant - Work Health, Safety & Environment (WHSE)Risk Factors Australia Pty Ltd – Manly NSWRisk Factors Australia (RFA) is a specialist Work Health, Safety and Environment consultancy supporting clients across Australia to identify and manage risk, meet their legal obligations and improve workplace safety and environmental performance.
Our consultants provide practical, evidence-based advice tailored to each client's operations and risk profile.This is a permanent, full time role based in our Manly office, combining office work, remote work and regular client site visits.

and no prior WHSE experience is required at Graduate level.You'll receive structured training and mentorship from the Managing Consultant across:Work health and safetyProperty riskOccupational hygieneEnvironmental auditingYou'll work with clients in commercial property, construction, logistics, manufacturing and infrastructure - a breadth of exposure that's rare in early-carer WHSE roles.What you'll be doingResponsibilities are matched to your level and grow with your capability:Conducting or assisting with workplace inspections, compliance audits and risk assessmentsIdentifying hazards and assessing risk controlsResearching WHSE legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian StandardsPreparing clear, professionally presented client reportsUndertaking property and public liability risk assessmentsAssisting with occupational hygiene monitoring and environmental auditsDeveloping and reviewing WHSE management systems and proceduresAdvising clients and liaising with contractors and workplace representativesTravelling within NSW and occasionally interstate.Graduate ConsultantsWork closely with the Managing Consultant, supporting inspections, research and report preparation, and progressively take on greater responsibility with regular mentoring and feedback.
Applicants are not expected to have previous WHSE work experience.WHSE ConsultantApplicants will apply existing knowledge and professional experience to learn quickly and independently.
Training and technical guidance will be provided by the Managing Consultant.
From commencement, they must demonstrate a professional standard of verbal and written communication, independent working practices and conduct when representing RFA.




They will also be expected to apply feedback effectively and progressively take greater ownership of inspections, reports and client projects.What you'll bringA tertiary qualification in WHS, OHS, environmental science, environmental management or a related disciplineStrong written communication and report-writing skillsSound analytical and problem-solving ability with high attention to detailInitiative, organisation and the ability to work independently and in a teamAdaptability, curiosity and a strong willingness to learnThe ability to receive and apply feedback constructivelyA current Australian driver licence and unrestricted Australian working rightsWillingness to travel and stay overnight when requiredFor appointment at WHSE Consultant level, you'll also bring relevant professional experience, professional-standard communication, experience preparing structured reports, and the ability to manage work with limited supervision.
