Indigeco is recruiting for our State Government client for the position of Traffic Signals Technician (Tunnels) or Electrician — be a critical part of infrastructure safety!
Are you a passionate and skilled electrician ready to take on a vital role in maintaining tunnel safety and infrastructure?
We are seeking three energetic and qualified professionals to join our team at the Tunnel Control Building in Tweed Heads West, NSW.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on essential tunnel assets, ensuring secure and efficient transportation for the community.
In this role, you will perform maintenance and troubleshooting on complex tunnel electrical systems, instrumentation, and electronics.
Your expertise will directly impact the safety and functionality of vital transit infrastructure, making a real difference in people's daily commutes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Current qualified Electrical Contractor License or Supervisor Certificate (Electrical)Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, and electronicsLicenses such as Confined Space, Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas,



MR Truck License, and EWP tickets are highly desirable
Nice to Have Skills:
Additional tickets for Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas, Confined Space, and EWPExperience working in tunnel or highway environmentsStrong troubleshooting and maintenance skills with electronic systems
Preferred Education & Experience:
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in tunnels or similar infrastructurePrevious experience with hazardous area electrical systems is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Availability to work 9-day fortnights with possible night shifts (1-2 weeks per month)Ability to travel to the project site at Tweed Heads WestPossession of police check, background check, and two reference checksPPE compliance is required on-site
This is a contract position offering a competitive hourly rate of $***** plus super, with Overtime and shift allowances as per the Roads and Maritime Services Award ****.
The role begins ASAP and runs for 6 months.
