and overseeing programs and activities designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life of elderly residents.
This role involves creating engaging and meaningful activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of the residents while ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.Your warm-hearted care will provide experiences that enhance our residents' wellbeing and overall quality of life and truly make a positive impact on their lives.
It really is an incredibly rewarding role and a lot of fun!
We are seeking a Part Time employee to work at our IRT Peakhurst Gardens location on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 430pm.Your work may include:Helping facilitate a range of engaging onsite activities such as bingo, floor bowls, craft and special eventsHelping to develop and plan a range of social, recreational and cultural activitiesAssisting residents on bus trips and community outingsSupporting resident participation and offering warm companionshipEnsuring residents' needs,



values and spiritual values and cultural preferences are taken into accountTo Be Successful You Will HaveCertificate III in Aged Care or recognised equivalent and competencies have been verified and approved by the delegated officerCertificate IV in Leisure & HealthCurrent First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtainInitiative and creative flairExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work as part of a team and prioritise workThe ability to put a smile on a residents face and brighten their dayA big heart - you're empathetic and have a passion for supporting older Australians to live their best life possibleKnowledge of the needs of persons living with dementia (desirable)Benefits for YouCompetitive pay and more cash in your pocket (less tax) with not-for-profit salary packagingFlexible working conditionsBirthday leave - relax and take a day off on us!
