Due to continued growth, we are seeking a hands-on WHS Adviser to support the safe and efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution activities.About the RoleThis new role will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring Work Health & Safety (WHS) systems.
The position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with Australian WHS legislation, promoting a safety-first culture, and supporting operational efficiency across warehouse, logistics and office operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement and review WHS policies, procedures and safe work practicesEnsure compliance with Australian WHS legislation, regulations and relevant codes of practiceConduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments and hazard identificationDevelop and maintain SWMS, JSAs and other risk control documentationMaintain WHS records including incident, injury and hazard registersLead incident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actionsProvide WHS advice and guidance to management and warehouse staffCoordinate WHS inductions and training (manual handling, PPE, emergency procedures, chemical safety)Monitor PPE compliance and safe work practicesPrepare WHS reports,



statistics and recommendations for managementSupport consultation processes and promote a positive safety cultureMonitor changes to WHS legislation and recommend updates to company practicesSupport injury management and return-to-work processesMaintain emergency procedures, evacuation plans and safety signageProvide WHS guidance to employees involved in receiving, storing, handling and dispatching wine products.Support protected handling practices for glass bottled products, pallets and cartons.Advise on manual handling risks, warehouse housekeeping, storage methods and equipment use.Assist management in implementing operational procedures where they relate to safety, risk reduction and compliance.Work with internal teams and logistics providers to support safe and compliant distribution activities.About the CandidatePrevious experience in a WHS role within warehouse, logistics or distribution environmentExperience working in warehouse operationsKnowledge of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirementsExperience handling wine or beverage products highly regardedStrong understanding of manual handling and warehouse safety risksHands-on and proactive approachStrong communication and consultation skillsAbility to influence safe work behaviours across teamsStrong organisational and analytical skillsEssential QualificationsDesirable Qualifications
