Newcastle Private Hospitalis looking to employ a Registered Nurse or Midwife for their Special Care Nursery on a full time or part time basis.

Come and join our expert team of surgeons, specialist doctors, dedicated nurses and allied health professionals at Newcastle Private Hospital.
We are a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park.
The hospitalhas11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.
We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit.
A private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites, 38 antenatal/postnatal rooms and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery are available for families in the Newcastle region.
Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, your responsibilities will include:
To provide quality nursing care by Assessing, Planning, Implementing and evaluating individual patient and recent born care.
To provide a standard of care according to the individual's level of experience and education maintaining high quality nursing care within a safe environment.
To develop and utilise strategies that encourage an atmosphere conducive to effective communication.
To work in partnership with patients and families in decision-making regarding provision of care promoting beneficial relationships
When required, working within the postnatal ward
Current Registration with AHPRA
At least 2 years post graduate experience in Neonatal Intensive Care or Special Care Nursery experience
Demonstrated ability to work independently and unsupervised in the Special Care Nursery
Working with Children check
Commitment to Quality Patient Care
Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Works well independently and within a team

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives' – Enterprise Agreement ****, a salary ranging from $*****-$*****per hour.
