Wilmar Ingredients are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team on a permanent full-time basis.
This role can be based from either our Yarraville (VIC) or Macquarie Park (NSW) office, with flexibility to travel when required and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders across both locations.Reporting to the Commercial Manager – Wilmar Ingredients, this role is responsible for managing our sweetener and functional ingredients portfolio, building strong supplier relationships and driving growth through product portfolio management, business development and sales support.You'll work closely with our sales, planning, supply chain and customer service teams, while partnering with suppliers to support product availability, identify growth opportunities and bring new ingredients to market.
This role suits someone who enjoys combining commercial acumen, market knowledge and strong relationship management to drive portfolio growth and deliver value for customers.The things you'll be involved in:Managing and growing our sweetener and functional ingredients product portfolioBuilding and managing strong supplier and manufacturer partnerships, including commercial negotiations and contract arrangementsIdentifying recent product, market and customer opportunities that support growthWorking closely with sales to support customer projects, product innovation and new business developmentDeveloping pricing recommendations and managing product margins to support business performanceMonitoring sales performance, forecasts, inventory and profitability to support business planning and continuity of supplyMonitoring market trends,



competitor activity and customer insights to identify growth opportunities and inform commercial strategyProviding technical product knowledge and supporting product quality, application and customer requirementsSupporting new product launches and helping bring innovative ingredient solutions to marketWhat we're looking for:We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, relationship focused and passionate about business growth, and customer focused.
You will bring:Tertiary qualification in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, Marketing or a related disciplineMinimum 5 years' experience within the Australian food and beverage industry in a B2B environmentExperience managing ingredient or product portfolios from supplier through to B2B customersStrong commercial capability with experience managing pricing, margins and profitabilityExperience in NPD, market research and supporting successful product launchesStrong understanding of ingredient markets and customer needs within food manufacturingExperience building and maintaining supplier and customer relationshipsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsStrong analytical, planning and problem‐solving skillsExperience using SAP, CRM systems and reporting tools will be highly regardedExperience with sweeteners,



functional ingredients or non‐sugar alternatives will be highly regardedWilmar Ingredients is managed within our Sugar Australia business.

Key markets for this role are Food & Beverage and Complimentary Healthcare.
Most of our ingredients are manufactured by Wilmar through our global footprint.
