Global Grants Finance OfficerASHM is a not-for-profit organisation seeking an experienced Global Grants Finance Officer to support our Global Programs division in the financial management, compliance, and reporting of grant-funded projects.About youThe Global Grants Finance Officer plays a vital role in strengthening financial stewardship and accountability across ASHM's global portfolio.

including investigation of unspent or legacy balancesFinancial Reporting & Audit SupportPrepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholdersMaintain clear, auditable financial records and documentationSupport internal and external audits, including donor audits and accreditation processesPartner Financial Management & Capacity BuildingConduct desk reviews of partner financial reports and acquittalsSupport financial control assessments across partner organisationsProvide guidance and training to partners to strengthen financial management capabilityIdentify and elevate financial risks or gaps in partner reporting and complianceTroubleshooting and MaintenanceIdentify and resolve technical issues across web applications and platformsPerform regular maintenance and updates to ensure security and functionalityCompliance & Risk ManagementEnsure grant financial activities comply with donor requirements, legislation, and organisational policiesSupport identification and mitigation of financial risksMonitor changes in funding requirements and elevate impactsForecasting & Project ControlAssist with project forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow monitoringIdentify trends in underspend, overspend, and financial riskCross‐Functional CollaborationPartner with Program teams and internal stakeholders to provide financial advice and supportLiaise with external stakeholders on financial and reporting mattersContribute to meetings and working groups related to grant managementProcess ImprovementContribute to continuous improvement of grant accounting processes and systemsSupport enhancements to financial reporting tools and frameworksQualifications and ExperienceEssential:Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline3 to 5 years' experience in grant, project, or operational accountingExperience preparing financial reports for government, donor, or not‐for‐profit environmentsStrong understanding of budgeting, forecasting,
and financial reportingProficiency in financial systems and Microsoft ExcelDesirableExperience in the not‐for‐profit or global health sectorFamiliarity with Australian healthcare funding environmentsExperience working with international or low‐to‐middle‐income country partnersSkills and AbilitiesStrong attention to detail and reconciliation skillsAbility to interpret funding agreements and donor requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a rapid‐paced environmentHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and discretionEligibilityThis role is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents or applicants with valid work right.ASHM Health is an equal employment opportunity employer.
