Civil Estimator (industrial & land developments western Sydney )Cirillo Civil Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Civil Estimator specialising in industrial and land developments to join our team on a full-time basis.
Based in Eastern Creek, NSW ****, this role is pivotal to our estimating department and sits at the heart of our project delivery process.
As Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, with a particular focus on industrial and land development works across Western Sydney.
Your expertise will directly influence project feasibility, pricing strategy, and commercial success, making this a strategically significant position within our organisation.Key responsibilitiesPrepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering projects, including industrial developments, land clearing, earthworks, and associated infrastructureAnalyse project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to determine material quantities, labour requirements, and equipment needsConduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project conditions and identify potential cost variablesLiaise with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather information and clarify project scope and requirementsBuild and maintain estimating databases, historical cost information,



and pricing models to enhance estimation accuracyMonitor and track actual costs against estimates to identify variances and improve future estimating processesPrepare tender submissions and quotations within agreed timeframes and in compliance with client requirementsCollaborate with the commercial and operations teams to support project planning, resource allocation, and risk identificationStay current with industry standards, pricing trends, supplier rates, and regulatory requirements affecting civil constructionWhat we're looking forProven experience as a Civil Estimator with a minimum of 3–5 years in the construction or civil engineering sectorDemonstrated expertise in estimating industrial and land development projects, including earthworks, site preparation, and infrastructure worksStrong knowledge of civil engineering practices, construction methodologies, and material specificationsProficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Buildsoft, Planswift, or similar platforms)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to build and manage complex spreadsheets and databasesExcellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost‐saving opportunitiesSound understanding of labour rates, equipment hire costs, material pricing,
