Clinical Initiative Nurse, ED is to facilitate and support the development, implementation and evaluation of the Clinical Initiative Nurse (CIN) education framework, training program and associated resources for the Emergency Department (ED).
The Team The Emergency Department (ED) is a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment dedicated to providing safe, timely and high-quality emergency care to the Tasmanian community.
Clinical Nurse Educator supports early patient assessment and improved patient flow by ensuring nurses have the knowledge and skills to provide timely interventions.
Working as part of the Department of Health, this role partners closely with the Nursing Director, Nurse Unit Manager and the broader interdisciplinary team to deliver education, build workforce capability and support continuous improvement in emergency care.
The Role Develop, implement and evaluate education frameworks, training programs and associated learning resources for the Emergency Department.
Coordinate and deliver ongoing education, training and career development to support staff in the ED while promoting evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
Collaborate with nursing leadership and the multidisciplinary team to support quality improvement initiatives, staff development and excellence in the CNE position.
You will need: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (essential), with relevant postgraduate qualifications desirable.




Demonstrated clinical expertise in emergency nursing, with experience developing, delivering and evaluating education and training programs.
Excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills, with a strong understanding of quality improvement, patient safety, contemporary education principles and Work Health and Safety requirements.

Details of appointment Fixed term full time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, 13 September **** until 15 January ****.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary $118,297 to $125,543 per annum.
Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging
