Oncology / Registered Nurse -Casual or Permanent Part Time

We are looking for an experiencedRN Oncologynurse to work on a casual basis.
Permanent part time would also be considered, and for candidates who would prefer full time work there could be an prospect to cross train in our theatres, recovery or anaesthetic team.
This position will provide clinical leadership to ensure the centre provides a seamless experience for patients undergoing chemo and infusion therapy.
The role will cover the following responsibilities:
Administration of Chemotherapy and Infusions:Safely administer chemotherapy and infusion treatments, ensuring proper dosage, monitoring for side effects, and adhering to protocols for the safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Patient Education and Support:Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and self-care strategies.
Provide emotional support and ensure patients understand their treatment plans and follow-up care.
To be considered for this role you will need to meet the following criteria:




A minimum of 4 years of experience in a chemotherapy day unit setting.
RN experience with at least 2-3 years in oncology or infusion work.
Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of chemotherapy agents, their safe administration, and proper waste management.
Experience and proficiency in cannulation and central venous access device (CVAD) management.
Ability to demonstrate critical and strategic thinking.
