About the Guidance Officer role
You will have responsibility for the following
Provide counselling, psychoeducational assessment, and individual student support,
addressing educational, behavioural, career, mental health, and family issues. Advocate for students and offer recommendations to teachers and parents.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and build partnerships with parents, staff, and external agencies to enhance student engagement, referral and access to programs, and comprehensive support.
Counsel and assist students in decision-making for education, social-emotional development, and career pathways, providing ongoing guidance during implementation.
Conduct observations and assessments to identify learning difficulties, disabilities, or emotional needs, recommending educational adjustments and interventions.
