Join the Uber Airports team as a Kerbside Operations Manager!
We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Kerbside Operations Manager to lead and optimise Uber's ground transportation operations at various airport pickup zones. If you have a knack for managing multiple retail locations, driving operational excellence, and fostering strong team performance, this critical role offers a unique opportunity to apply those skills in a dynamic, fast-paced workplace. You'll be responsible for ensuring seamless, efficient, and compliant operations across multiple airport locations, fostering a positive experience for both riders and drivers, and maintaining strong relationships with airport authorities and Uber's local teams. This role requires a balanced approach, dividing your time between hands-on, on-site supervision at the airport pickup zones and strategic office-based work to plan, analyse, and report.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Oversight
Directly manage multi-site airport Uber pickups to ensure smooth vehicle and rider flow, safety compliance, and regulation adherence.
Monitor real-time operations to fix bottlenecks and reduce wait times.
Manage, recruit, train, and mentor multi-site ground staff while setting performance standards and fostering collaboration.
Handle shift scheduling for peak hours and effectively resolve personnel issues.
Serve as the primary liaison with airport authorities and Uber internal teams to build solid stakeholder relationships.
Professional representation to ensure smooth operations and address site-specific needs.
Problem Solving & Issue Resolution
Proactively resolve operational issues, driver concerns,
and rider feedback while leveraging data trends to drive improvements.
Develop targeted contingency plans for severe weather, outages, and peak demand.
Prepare performance reports on key metrics, compliance, and safety incidents to drive improvements.
Analyse data to make informed operational decisions, track satisfaction, and address site challenges.
Develop and deliver training programs for on-site staff to ensure a consistent understanding of procedures and policies.
Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements to existing processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a multi-site management role, such as a Retail Area Manager, District Manager, or a high-volume Store Manager with significant operational oversight.
Demonstrated experience in optimising operational efficiency within a multi-location environment.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams to achieve performance targets.
Strong understanding of customer service excellence and conflict resolution.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure, with a keen eye for operational details.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in using operational software, data analysis tools, and Google Suite.
Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as airport operations are 24/7.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation for travel between airport locations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with on-demand services or tech-driven operational environments.
Experience with project management methodologies.
