Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator / Deputy QA Manager

As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator / Deputy QA Manager to join our team at our manufacturing facility in Wetherill Park, Sydney.
About the Role
You will work closely with the QA Manager and provide leadership across quality, food safety and compliance programs within a large bakery manufacturing operation supplying major Australian retailers.
This role is designed as a succession and leadership position with responsibility for supporting the QA Manager and acting as deputy during periods of leave and flexible work arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Food Safety & Quality Systems
Support SQF System management
HACCP Team participation and leadership
Internal audit management
Customer complaint investigations
Corrective Action and Preventive Action management
Product release oversight
Audit & Compliance
Lead external audits
Manage corrective action programs
Ensure ongoing compliance with SQF
Ensure ongoing compliance with HACCP




Ensure ongoing compliance with Woolworths Quality Standards
Ensure ongoing compliance with Export requirements
Ensure ongoing compliance with RSPO requirements
Mentor QA Coordinators and QA Officers
Support training programs
Coordinate workload across QA team
Act as QA Manager when required
Technical Responsibilities
Product specifications
Artwork approval
Validation and verification activities
KPI and trend analysis
Minimum 5 years food manufacturing QA experience
Minimum 2 years in a senior QA role
Strong HACCP knowledge
Experience with SQF certification
Robust leadership and communication skills
Highly Desirable
Experience with Woolworths and Coles supplier requirements
Experience in bakery, FMCG or ready-to-eat food manufacturing
Experience with export compliance
Experience using Excel, databases or reporting systems
