We are exclusively engaged with a growing and successful SME, which are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to be 2IC to the CFO.
This is not a role where you'll be confined to one area of finance. You'll gain exposure across financial reporting, international operations, systems, tax and business partnering while working closely alongside an experienced CFO.
This is a genuine all-round finance position that will suit an accountant who enjoys remaining hands-on while also taking ownership of month-end reporting and supporting the ongoing development of the finance function.
Working closely with the CFO, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of finance while contributing to process improvements and supporting the company's continued global growth.
Key Responsibilities




Prepare month-end management accounts and financial reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end journals
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Support the CFO with financial analysis and reporting
Oversee the day-to-day finance function
Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable during busy periods
Manage foreign exchange (FX) transactions
Prepare overseas GST / VAT reporting
Payroll Tax across multiple Australian states
Assist with year-end audit requirements
Drive continuous process improvements and efficiencies
Work closely with stakeholders across Australian and international operations
