We are looking fortwo Full-Time Medical Receptioniststo join our growing team:
One receptionist based at our Richmond clinic
One receptionist based at our Paddington clinic
Candidates may be required to travel between our Richmond and Paddington locations as needed.
Immediate start available for the right candidates.

About the Role
Pure Sight Eye Surgeons is a growing ophthalmology practice, seeking two full-time receptionists to join our existing reception teams on a long-term basis.
We need team players with initiative who enjoy working in a busy, professional environment.
Both our Richmond and Paddington clinics are home to a subspecialist-led ophthalmology team offering customised surgical procedures and vision outcomes for discerning patients, so this is more than a front desk role, it's about creating an exceptional experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients, so warmth and a welcoming manner are essential.
You will also be trained to assist our clinical team, including taking scans using our medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact, greeting patients and creating a welcoming, qualified atmosphere
Manage patient bookings, appointments and enquiries in person, over the phone and via email, including soft sales
Check patients into clinic and process patient medical files
Support clinical flow by ensuring patient files are complete and assisting with day-to-day administration
Process patient billing, including cash, EFTPOS and Medicare claims
Distribute patient correspondence and prepare/send dictated consult reports to referrers
Maintain a clean, tidy and well-presented practice
Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure patient journeys are seamless and personalised
Provide administration support to Specialists when required, including occasional PA-style tasks such as accepting, coordinating or picking up deliveries
Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to troubleshoot as needed
Desire to learn new skills and upskill
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in medical reception (ophthalmology or specialist practice highly regarded)
Background in hospitality/customer service highly regarded
A polished, friendly and calm communication style
Strong attention to detail and confidence using/ability to master practice management software
Fast learner - full training on systems and processes provided
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Flexibility to cover other team members for sick and annual leave
Well presented, with a professional and caring manner
Reliable, efficient, honest and trustworthy
Ability to work autonomously and take initiative, while also contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team
