Kununurra is seeking to grow our Midwifery workforce with positions available in the Core unit.
Fixed Term and Permanent roles available.
This position requires demonstrated leadership qualities and skills – relevant to the SRN role.
Utilising the full scope of your qualifications in the midwifery setting and the ability to prescribe and order diagnostics and be appropriately remunerated for your advanced scope.
You will join an autonomous and vibrant midwifery team working across all fields of your midwifery scope.
About the role:The position will be required to coordinate and manage the antenatal services across the East Kimberley and support intrapartum and postnatal care to the women and families of Kununurra, while having the prospect to explore the waterfalls, red escarpments and outback that Kimberley life has to offer.
To be successful you will have...
Eligible for registration in the category of Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Holds an endorsement for scheduled medicines for midwives with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Demonstrated advanced clinical experience,



knowledge and leadership in midwifery care across the continuum utilising the Australian College of Midwives National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral.
Well-developed clinical problem-solving skills including conceptual and analytical ability.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills including negotiation skills.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislative and health regulating Acts including legislative obligations relating to midwifery practice.
Experience in quality improvement, its practical application in family centred care and its relationship to strategic development.
Demonstrated digital capability across clinical systems which contribute to the provision of quality care.
