The Strategic Property & Commercial Activities Service manages one of local government's most diverse property portfolios, including community facilities, commercial properties, visitor destinations, operational assets and strategic land holdings.
Our team is focused on delivering commercially sustainable, community-focused and compliant property outcomes that support the long-term objectives of Blue Mountains City Council.
Blue Mountains City Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced marketing and events professional to help activate and promote one of local government's most diverse property portfolios.
As the Senior Officer – Property Events, Activations & Marketing, you will coordinate marketing campaigns, events, commercial activation initiatives and stakeholder partnerships that enhance the utilisation of Council's commercial and community assets while delivering positive customer and community outcomes.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of Council's Strategic Property & Commercial Activities Service and play a key role in promoting Council's property portfolio through cutting-edge marketing, events and activation programs.
Reporting to the Program Leader – Property Commercial Activation & Strategy, you will:
Oversee marketing campaigns that promote Council's commercial and community property portfolio.
Drive and deliver events, activations and promotional initiatives across Council assets.
Manage Council's activation-related digital content,



website updates and social media communications.
Coordinate sponsorship and partnership activities associated with activation programs.
Develop the development of commercial partnerships, sponsorship opportunities and stakeholder engagement activities.
Coordinate communications, promotional material and digital marketing content.
Deliver visitor economy initiatives and place activation programs.
Build productive relationships with businesses, community groups, tourism organisations and government agencies.
Review campaign performance and prepare reports to support continuous improvement.
Lead increasing utilisation, customer engagement and commercial performance across Council's property portfolio.
You are an energetic and creative professional with experience in marketing, events, communications or commercial activation.
You will bring to the position:
Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, digital communications, promotional activities or visitor engagement initiatives.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience coordinating projects, multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Strong organisational skills with a commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, events or a related discipline.
Remuneration:
base salary commencing at $100,301 gross per annum
12% superannuation
annual performance-based salary increases / bonus (1-3.5%)
annual award increase
