Early Childhood Educator – Parental Leave Contract

Merewether Day Care is seeking an Early Childhood Educator to join our close-knit team on a fixed-term contract, covering parental leave.

About the Role
Your passion and enthusiasm will see you work closely with the Director and other staff, effectively engaging with families and children to implement high-quality educational programs.
The role includes driving as part of our pick-up and drop-off service, as well as participating in multiple excursions throughout the week.
You will demonstrate extensive knowledge of the EYLF and a strong understanding of the NQF/NQS, working in compliance with all regulations to meet high standards of care and education.




This is afixed-term contract positioncommencingFriday 2 October ****and concludingFriday 2 April ****, covering parental leave.
There is potential for the contract to be renewed or transitioned to a permanent part time position, to be discussed closer to the end of the contract term.
Selection Criteria
Cert 3, Diploma, Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA
Current approved first aid, anaphylaxis and asthma qualifications
Current Employment Working with Children Check
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lead a classroom environment
Sound understanding of the EYLF and NQF
