Community Energy Project Officer (New England REZ)
Southern New England Landcare will deliver multiple advantages for the region through the employment of a Community Energy Project Officer (New England REZ), providing trusted, independent support and information to household energy consumers navigating the renewable energy transition, ensuring equitable outcomes.
This role will strengthen community engagement, build capacity, and ensure transparent, informed participation among rural and urban community members.
The Community Energy Project Officer (NEREZ) will be supported by Southern Current England Landcare to interact with Landcare sub-groups and other stakeholders, empowering groups and individuals to participate in energy efficiency and renewable energy zone initiatives, and to increase the capacity of the community to deliver against target outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
Stimulate local community engagement and participation in energy efficiency initiatives and opportunities across the Recent England REZ.
Support individuals and groups with energy efficiency initiatives and opportunities.
Coordinate with Council REZ Project Officers across the New England REZ.
Be a central contact point for community members to supply information regarding energy efficiency and opportunities.
Deliver information sessions, workshops, and individual consultations relating to energy efficiency initiatives and opportunities.
Provide technical guidance to community members relating to energy efficiency initiatives and opportunities.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on project activities and outcomes.
