About the Role
This Recruitment / Employer Engagement Consultant role is a unique opportunity to work across the Wollongong area. The role is field-based and focuses on building relationships with local employers, identifying job opportunities, and connecting suitable candidates with vacancies.
Working in the local Liverpool community, you will spend the majority of your time engaging with employers, understanding workforce needs, and proactively marketing candidates to secure interviews and job placements.
Reporting to the National Manager, you will collaborate closely with site teams to support employment outcomes for program participants. This role requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional who enjoys working autonomously, travelling across the region, and building strong local networks.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with local employers across the Wollongong area
Identify employment opportunities and match suitable candidates to job vacancies
Reverse market participants to employers to secure interviews and job placements
Collaborate with site teams to support job readiness and employment outcomes
Engage with training organisations and community stakeholders to create employment pathways
Support employment outcomes following training programs and industry partnerships
Travel regularly across regional sites to build employer networks and strengthen partnerships
About You
The ideal applicant will have:
Experience in recruitment, sales, business development, or a relationship-focused role
Experience delivering Employment Services contracts such as Workforce Australia, Disability Employment Services/Inclusive Employment Australia, Transition to Work, or Parents Next
Strong networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage employers
A proactive and self-driven approach to achieving targets and outcomes
Confidence working independently while managing a key region
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
A genuine interest in helping people find meaningful employment
