About the Role
As a casual cook, you'll play a key role in supporting children's health and wellbeing by preparing balanced, nutritious meals and catering to dietary and cultural needs.
Shifts range from short-term cover to ongoing casual work across a range of centres in Western Sydney.
What You'll Be Doing
Preparing healthy, age-appropriate meals and snacks in line with centre menus and nutrition guidelines
Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Managing allergies, intolerances, and special dietary requirements with care and accuracy
Working independently while communicating effectively with centre teams
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and safe
What You'll Need
Must have:




NSW Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Full Australian working rights
Flexibility to accept last-minute and same-day shifts, including shifts that come through in the morning
Highly regarded:
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
Previous experience in a childcare or similar setting
Driver's licence and access to a car
Flexibility to travel across Western Sydney
Valid Police Check
