About the Role
Join our Aged and Community Care team as a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist on a part-time (0.6 EFT), fixed-term basis until September **** (Parental Leave cover).
Working from the Kingston Centre in Heatherton, you'll support older people to maintain their independence, remain safely at home, and continue participating in the activities that matter most to them. This rewarding community-based role offers a diverse caseload, working directly with clients in their homes, in community settings and via telehealth.
Grade 1 Occupational Therapists looking to take the next step in their career are strongly encouraged to apply.
Working within a large and experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll use your clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills to deliver person-centred, evidence-informed care that helps clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
In this role, you will:
Complete comprehensive functional and occupational therapy assessments
Prescribe equipment and recommend home modifications to support safe, independent living
Deliver evidence-based interventions that promote participation in meaningful daily activities




Develop client-centred care plans and support safe discharge planning
Work collaboratively with clients, carers and the multidisciplinary team to achieve the best outcomes
Contribute to service improvement, student supervision and the ongoing development of the Occupational Therapy service

The Aged and Community Care Program provides multidisciplinary services that support older people to remain living independently in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.
Our large, collaborative team includes Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Pathologists, Dietitians, Social Workers, Exercise Physiologists, Community Health Nurses, Allied Health Assistants and more, all working together to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. About You
You are an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist who enjoys building meaningful relationships with older people and empowering them to live safely and independently within their community.You'll bring:
Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist
A current Victorian Driver Licence
Experience delivering person-centred occupational therapy services
Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills
A passion for community-based practice and healthy ageing
