Position Summary
We are searching for a highly motivated Associate Director of Sales that will focus on securing and maximising sales opportunities within targeted market segments, particularly in the MICE, to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking abilities and a proven history of achieving outstanding results in the luxury hospitality sector, identifying new sales leads and building strong relationships with both new and existing clients to meet financial targets.
The individual will play a key role in generating new business, ensuring that all direct sales activities align with our overall sales strategies.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire the team to deliver seamless, upscale guest experiences across all event-related services.
Cultivate and nurture client relationships,



actively seeking opportunities for new business and repeat engagements.
Drive new business opportunities through the various market segments and most specifically MICE.
Negotiate with clients to achieve maximum revenue and profitability for Capella Sydney.
Ensure sales activities focus on all facilities including Food and Beverage, Catering, Spa, inclusive of all experiences.
Develop strong community relations.
Network in the local market, in the industry and professional organizations.
Be involved in the planning and setting of sales goals for the various target segments.
Perform competitive analysis on competitor's strengths and weaknesses to implement sales projects to gain higher market shares.
Talent Profile
A hospitality management diploma or bachelor's degree in events management is preferred.
Experiences in similar role at luxury hotels/resort.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with CRM and Property Management Systems (e.g., Opera Cloud) and other Hotel related systems.
Excellent selling skills and understanding of sales processes.
Strong command of written and spoken English.
Full-time valid working rights in Australia.
