About the Role
Step into a newly created opportunity where connection, collaboration and impact come together.
As a Placement Liaison Officer, you will play a pivotal role, supporting students as they move from study into the workplace, creating positive experiences along the way.
You will collaborate closely with industry partners, student support services and teaching teams to grow placement opportunities across the Barwon and Wyndham regions, while deepening connections within the early childhood sector.
Your week will be dynamic - time spent out in the community, in the office and connecting with centres, with flexibility for some work from home.
Engaging with centres, you will enhance placement programs, so students are well prepared to thrive beyond the classroom.
Your days will be filled with building relationships, identifying new opportunities, supporting students through their placement journey and driving continuous improvement across programs.
Importantly, this role will also have a strong focus on inclusive practice, recognising opportunities to provide tailored support in placement environments for diverse learners, including students with neurodivergent profiles.
Some key responsibilities for this role include:
Develop and enhance placement programs aligned with industry needs
Build and maintain partnerships with early childhood centres
Identify and create new placement opportunities across Barwon and Wyndham regions
Support students through preparation and transition to workplaces
Promote inclusive placement practices, including neurodiversity-informed supports
Contribute to report, insights and continuous improvement

About You:
You are a natural relationship builder who enjoys working across education and industry, with a genuine passion for student success and inclusive practice.
You bring strong communication skills, curiosity, initiative and a thoughtful approach to ensuring our students are supported for success on placement and our partners providing our students with placement opportunities, have positive experience.
Additionally, you will have
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Excellent organisation and time management
Ability to identify gaps and contribute to practical, solution-focused outcomes
Understanding of neurodiversity, with confidence to identify opportunities for tailored support in placement settings
Strong communications skills, with ability to share insights and influence practice
Relevant qualifications and/or experience in a similar field
Commitment to continuous learning, keeping pace with industry practices, centre needs and sharing insights with the team
Completion or willingness to complete Mandatory Reporting training (Geccko)
Ideally, you will hold knowledge of the Early Childhood Education and Care sector, enabling confident engagement with industry partners and representation of The Gordon.

Salary Range:
PACCT Level 5 - $81,****** - $85,****** + Superannuation
