At PlayPatch Annerley, we're not just opening a new centre — we're building a culture.

For us, this means slowing down and really listening. It means respecting childhood, following children's curiosity and understanding that behaviour is often communication. Sometimes a child needs comfort before they need a lesson.
As a brand-new centre, we have a rare opportunity.
We're not inheriting somebody else's culture — we're creating our own, together.
We're starting with just 10 children and will gradually grow to our licensed capacity of 107, opening rooms as our community grows. That means the chance to genuinely influence the way we work, contribute ideas and grow alongside the centre.

You enjoy creating meaningful, open-ended experiences that follow children's curiosity.
You believe teaching happens every day through conversations, relationships, modelling and play — not just planned activities.
You're reflective, curious and always open to learning.
You value teamwork, support your colleagues and believe work can be both meaningful and enjoyable.
We want PlayPatch to be somewhere educators choose to stay — not because they have to, but because they want to.
We hope our team doesn't spend Sunday afternoon dreading Monday morning.

Children come first at PlayPatch, but we also believe the adults caring for them matter too.
We're looking for an educator who has chosen this profession with purpose. Someone who understands that early childhood education can be challenging, but still believes there's nowhere else they'd rather be.
Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
At least one year of experience working in an early childhood setting




Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
Early Childhood Teaching qualification
Experience with Reggio Emilia is welcomed but not essential. We're happy to mentor educators who share our philosophy and enthusiasm for learning.
