Austin Education is looking for strong and reliable English educators to support our growing Y1-9 and VCE English programs.
We are interested in candidates who can help students build confidence in reading, writing, communication and analytical thinking, while also supporting measurable academic progress in school assessments, SACs and VCE examinations.
This role may suit experienced tutors, qualified teachers, high-achieving graduates, or English specialists who are looking for a stable, long-term teaching opportunity. Depending on your experience and strengths, you may teach Y1-9 English, VCE English, or both.
We are open to casual, part-time and potential full-time arrangements for the right candidate.

Teaching Areas
Depending on your background and strengths, teaching areas may include:
Grammar, vocabulary and written expression
Creative writing
Essay writing foundations
EAL/EFL support where relevant
VCE EAL
VCE Literature
Text response, argument analysis and analytical writing
SAC and exam preparation
Experience with Scholarship English or Selective School English will be highly regarded. Candidates do not need to teach all areas.

What You'll Do:
Deliver engaging English lessons in one-on-one, small-group or class settings.
Help students improve reading comprehension, writing, grammar, essay structure and analytical thinking.
Support students with school assessments, SACs, exams and stronger academic outcomes where relevant.
Provide clear, practical feedback that helps students improve their writing and confidence over time.
Who We're Looking For:
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
Strong English communication, writing and teaching skills.
Experience teaching or tutoring English across Y1-9 and/or VCE levels.
A solid academic background in English, Literature, Education, Humanities or a related field.
A patient, reliable and professional teaching style, with availability after school and/or on weekends.
Highly regarded:
Experience with Scholarship or Selective School English.
VIT registration, teaching qualifications, or curriculum/resource development experience.
