About the role:
Our Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G;) department is a multicultural team of specialists, midwives, health professionals and support staff, with a commitment to patient care in all areas of collaborative maternity care, obstetrics and gynaecology. We are a Level 5 Maternity unit, supported by theatre staff 24/7 situated alongside Birth Suite. Our Neonatology services are run by a full team of qualified Paediatricians. We are also the referral centre for smaller hospitals within our catchment area.
Experience a great place to treat, learn and teach complex cases. Our Gynaecology service treats patients ranging from complex Urogynae problems to younger women with Chronic pain or Endometriosis. We also do complex Gynaecological Endoscopic operating. Our clinics are well equipped with a state of the art Colposcope and ultrasound machines and theatres have new Lap towers with modern cameras. We also do MDT cases involving Urology, Colorectal or General Surgeons.

What we’re looking for:
Relevant specialist qualification such as Fellowship of the Royal Australian and Current Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent is essential.
Have specialist medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Be eligible for registration for Medicare provider number.
Experienced educator and teacher of medical students, trainees and medical staff.
A compassionate, patient-focused approach to women’s healthcare.
Have a positive and team orientated work ethic and strong communication skills.
Competent in a wide range of obstetric and surgical procedures, experience in advanced gynaecology surgery ideally including laparoscopy.
