Role Highlights

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and strengthening strategic relationships across their Aged Care services.

Role Overview

The role focuses on building strong engagement with subcontractor installers, occupational therapists (OTs), and Home Care Package providers, while promoting wholesale product range and home modification services.

Reporting to the Co-Chief Commercial Officer - North the role will work with Subcontractors and installers, Occupational Therapists (OTs), Home Care Package providers and Internal Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.

Responsibilities

Subcontractor & Wholesale Growth

- Develop and maintain robust relationships with subcontractors and their associated OTs to increase engagement.
- Promote the benefits of partnering as a preferred subcontractor, strengthening retention and attraction of high-quality subbies.
- Drive sales of wholesale products through the subcontractor network.
- Respond to subcontractor inquiries relating to wholesale products, providing timely, accurate, and commercially sound quotations.

Marketing & Communications

- Plan and coordinate marketing communications to subcontractors, including product updates, promotions, and service offerings.
- Support development of tools and collateral to enhance subcontractor knowledge and drive sales growth.
- Work with Marketing to develop and execute campaigns (LinkedIn, EDMs, etc.)
- Generate and nurture leads through multiple channels, ensuring consistent pipeline growth.

Engagement with OTs and Home Care Providers





- Build direct relationships with OT's and Home Care Package organisations to drive referral pathways.
- Conduct regular face-to-face meetings (e.g., coffee catch-ups) to promote product and service offerings.

Education & Events

- Establish and coordinate training programs, workshops focused on home modifications.
- Deliver education sessions to OTs, subcontractors, and care providers on products, services, and best practice solutions.

Commercial & Performance Focus

- Maintain strong commercial acumen in pricing, quoting, and negotiation to maximise profitability.
- Monitor sales performance, pipeline activity, and conversion rates to achieve business targets.

Experience

- 5+ years' B2B business development, account management or sales experience.
- Background in healthcare, aged care, disability, construction, building products or assistive technology.
- Proven success managing referral networks, customer relationships and driving business growth.
- Experience working with Occupational Therapists, Home Care providers or builders is desirable.

Skills

- Strong relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.
- Commercially minded with experience managing sales pipelines and CRM systems.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, territory planning and influencing skills.
- Results-driven with a proactive approach to business development.
