Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with over 450 staff across both campuses in 2026.
The College is eagerly seeking a part-time (FTE 0.6) People and Culture Assistant to work across both College campuses, with flexibility of days, hours and location depending on the candidate and their preferences.
This is an exciting opportunity to begin or grow your career in People and Culture or Administration within a supportive and values-driven team. We’re looking for someone with exceptional administrative skills who enjoys working with people and is passionate about creating positive employee experiences. The role encompasses HR administration, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and compliance checking. You are an ideal candidate if you:
Hold, or be currently working towards, a qualification in Human Resource Management, ideally at Bachelor level. This will be highly regarded but is not essential.
- Have strong administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Are highly motivated and enjoy working in a tight knit team setting
- Enjoy learning new people systems for recruitment and onboarding
- Have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Can keep strict confidentiality and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
