As our brand continues to grow, we are looking for a creative and versatile Graphic Designer & Social Media Coordinator to help shape how Avocado Zinc looks, feels and connects with its community.

About the Role

This is a varied creative and marketing position within a growing, hands‑on business.

You will be responsible for developing high‑quality visual content, managing Avocado Zinc’s social media presence, coordinating influencer relationships and supporting the brand’s website and digital campaigns.

You will work across graphic design, fashion and lifestyle‑inspired creative direction, photography, video, social media and e‑commerce. As part of a collaborative small‑business environment, you will also be expected to assist with picking and packing customer orders during busy periods when required.

Key Responsibilities

Visual and Brand Identity

- Maintain and evolve Avocado Zinc’s visual and brand identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Ensure consistent use of brand guidelines, typography, colour, imagery and tone.
- Support the creative direction of campaigns, product launches and seasonal promotions.
- Develop concepts that reflect Avocado Zinc’s natural, premium and active‑lifestyle positioning.
- Bring an understanding of fashion, beauty, skincare and lifestyle design trends to the brand’s creative output.
- Assist with packaging design, product artwork and branded merchandise.

Graphic Design and Content Creation

- Design digital and print assets, including social media graphics, advertisements, brochures, flyers, packaging, retail materials and event signage.
- Create website banners, email marketing graphics and digital campaign assets.
- Use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign to produce polished, professional creative work.
- Create fast‑turnaround digital content and templates using Canva.
- Prepare artwork for print, packaging, digital advertising and online use.
- Photograph and edit product, campaign and lifestyle content.
- Create mood boards, campaign concepts and visual references for photoshoots and product launches.

Video Editing

- Film, edit and produce short‑form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Meta advertising and other digital platforms.
- Edit product demonstrations, educational videos, behind‑the‑scenes content and influencer footage.
- Add captions, transitions, music, graphics and branded elements to video content.




- Repurpose existing footage into engaging content for different channels.
- Monitor video and social media trends and identify relevant opportunities for the brand.

Website Design and E‑Commerce

- Support the visual design and ongoing improvement of the Avocado Zinc website.
- Create landing pages, campaign pages, product imagery, banners and promotional assets.
- Update website content and product listings.
- Help maintain a visually consistent, user‑friendly online shopping experience.
- Work with the wider team to improve website presentation, customer journeys and conversion.
- Experience with Shopify or a similar e‑commerce platform is highly regarded.

Social Media Management

- Plan, create and manage Avocado Zinc’s social media content calendar.
- Develop engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and other relevant platforms.
- Write captions and brand messaging that are informative, approachable and aligned with Avocado Zinc’s tone of voice.
- Schedule and publish social media content.
- Manage comments, messages and community engagement.
- Monitor content performance, engagement, reach and audience growth.
- Provide recommendations based on social media insights and emerging trends.
- Support paid social campaigns by creating platform‑appropriate advertising assets.

Influencer and Creator Management

- Identify influencers, creators and brand ambassadors who align with Avocado Zinc’s values and audience.
- Coordinate influencer outreach, gifting, collaborations and campaign briefs.
- Manage ongoing influencer relationships and communication.
- Track content deliverables, posting schedules and campaign performance.
- Source and manage user‑generated content for use across social media, advertising and the website.
- Ensure influencer content is consistent with campaign goals and brand guidelines.
- Maintain records of collaborations, product gifting and content usage permissions.

General Team Support

- Collaborate with the wider team on product launches, promotions, photoshoots, events and brand activations.
- Assist with marketing administration and campaign coordination.
- Support trade shows, pop‑ups and retail events when required.
- Assist with picking, packing and dispatching customer orders during busy periods or when additional support is needed.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative environment where everyone is willing to help across the business.

About You

You are a creative,



organised and proactive person who understands how strong design and content can build a recognisable brand.

You will ideally have:

- Two or more years of relevant experience in graphic design, branding, content creation, social media or digital marketing.
- Demonstrated experience developing or maintaining a strong visual and brand identity.
- A qualification or professional background in graphic design, fashion design, visual communication, marketing or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Experience using Canva to create branded digital and social media content.
- Robust video filming and editing skills.
- Experience with website design, digital content or e‑commerce platforms.
- Experience managing business social media accounts and content calendars.
- Experience coordinating influencers, creators, ambassadors or user‑generated content.
- A strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and current social media trends.
- Excellent visual judgement and attention to detail.
- Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and campaign deliverables.
- A positive, practical attitude and willingness to contribute wherever needed.

Highly Regarded

- Experience working with a skincare, beauty, fashion, wellness, lifestyle or e‑commerce brand.
- Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, Meta Business Suite or social media scheduling tools.
- Experience designing packaging and preparing print‑ready artwork.
- Photography, art direction or photoshoot coordination experience.
- An understanding of influencer marketing, affiliate programs and creator partnerships.
- Experience creating paid social media advertisements.
- An interest in natural skincare, sun safety, sustainability and outdoor lifestyles.
