Position Purpose

To safely and efficiently carry out in office glazing works, including the installation, replacement and adjustment of glass in windows, doors and related building products. The role is responsible for delivering work to Integra Windows' quality standards, project requirements and applicable safety procedures.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Install glass into window and door frames on residential and commercial construction sites.
- Remove and replace damaged, incorrect or defective glass when required.
- Read and interpret plans, glazing schedules, measurements, job sheets and installation instructions.
- Confirm glass type, size, orientation and location before installation, and promptly report discrepancies.
- Handle, load, unload, transport and store glass using appropriate equipment and safe handling methods.
- Prepare frames and openings, install glazing components, gaskets, packers, sealants and related materials, and complete finishing work to the required standard.
- Inspect completed glazing for correct fit, operation, finish, damage and cleanliness before leaving site.
- Protect finished products and surrounding surfaces and minimise damage to the customer's property and other trades' work.
- Take clear site photographs and complete job, service and defect records as required.
- Communicate professionally with the Operations Manager, builders, site supervisors, customers and other trades.
- Maintain company tools, glazing equipment and vehicles in a clean, safe and serviceable condition.
- Assist with related installation, service, factory or loading duties when reasonably required.
- Carry out other reasonable duties within the employee's skills and competence as directed by the Operations Manager.

Work Health and Safety

- Use required personal protective equipment and appropriate glass-handling, lifting and access equipment.
- Identify and report hazards, incidents, injuries, damaged equipment and unsafe work conditions immediately.




- Do not perform work that is unsafe or outside the employee's training, authorisation or competence.
- Maintain a valid White Card and comply with site induction requirements.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

- Essential Practical experience in glazing and the installation of glass in windows and doors.
- Ability to read plans, glazing schedules and measurements accurately.
- Good physical fitness and capacity to safely undertake manual handling associated with glass installation.
- Current Australian driver's licence and ability to travel between construction sites.
- Current White Card (General Construction Induction).
- Sound understanding of safe glass handling, site safety and the correct use of glazing tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, punctuality and a professional approach on customer sites.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of an installation team.

Desirable

- Relevant glazing trade qualification or recognised industry training.
- Experience with double-glazed units and uPVC, aluminium or timber window and door systems.
- Experience using mechanical lifting aids and specialist glass-handling equipment.

Performance Expectations

- Complete allocated glazing work safely, accurately and within reasonable job timeframes.
- Achieve a high standard of workmanship with minimal defects, damage, rework or call-backs.
- Attend sites on time, keep the Operations Manager informed of progress and raise issues promptly.
- Maintain professional conduct and leave work areas safe, clean and presentable.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is a physically demanding, site-based role. The employee must be able to safely handle glass and glazing materials; stand, bend, kneel, reach and work in varied site conditions; use access and lifting equipment where trained and authorised; and travel to different construction sites. Team lifting and mechanical aids must be used whenever required by the task or risk assessment.
