Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst (TBA) to support the successful delivery of Borders projects across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. The TBA will act as the critical link between business stakeholders, operations teams, customers, architects, and development teams to ensure business requirements are translated into clear technical solutions.

Working closely with the Technical Design Authority (TDA), the TBA will be responsible for requirement analysis, solution definition, backlog management, functional design, integration analysis, and delivery support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with customer business and operational stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational processes.
- Elicit, analyse, validate, and document functional and technical requirements.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process flows, and acceptance criteria.




- Collaborate with the TDA and Solution Architects to ensure proposed solutions align with business needs and enterprise architecture.
- Work closely with development, QA, DevOps, and Operations teams throughout delivery.
- Perform impact analysis for change requests and enhancements.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and UAT sessions.
- Support integration analysis across multiple systems and external interfaces.
- Coordinate defect triage, production support, and post-release validation.
- Maintain traceability from business requirements through solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Support release planning, deployment readiness, and operational transition activities.

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years of Business Analysis experience in enterprise software delivery.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile and Waterfall).
- Experience working with Java-based enterprise applications and API-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, XML, SQL, relational databases, and system integrations.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile tools.
- Ability to read technical architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and data models.
