Business Partner - Health, Safety & Environment - Sunshine Sugar Condong Mill

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Business Partner - HSE to join our Health, Safety, Workplace and Sustainability team based at Sunshine Sugar's Condong mill.

This is a key site based role supporting our Condong operations, where you will partner closely with leaders and frontline teams to strengthen HSE performance and embed a positive safety culture.

As a trusted advisor, you will coach, influence and support operational teams, ensuring HSE systems, processes and statutory requirements are effectively implemented while driving continuous improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

- Partner with site leaders to implement and embed HSE systems, programs and processes
- Support compliance with WHS and environmental legislation and organisational standards
- Facilitate incident and injury investigations, identifying root causes and corrective actions
- Conduct audits, inspections and risk assessments to ensure effectiveness of controls
- Coach and build capability in frontline leaders and teams
- Support delivery of HSE training programs in partnership with Learning & Development
- Coordinate and contribute to HSE forums and consultation processes (e.g. HSR meetings)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across HSE systems and practices

We are looking for:

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or related discipline)
- Demonstrated experience in a HSE role within manufacturing, industrial or high risk environments
- Contractor management, Injury Management, and Critical Risk Management (highly regarded)
- Robust knowledge of WHS legislation,



regulations and codes of practice
- Experience with incident investigations and auditing processes
- Strong written, communication and leadership skills
- Ability to make sound decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience and judgement
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to coach and build capability in operational teams
- A proactive approach with a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
