As an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Officer at Manhari Recycling, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our recycling operations in Tottenham, VIC. This full-time position is essential in upholding our commitment to the wellbeing of our employees and the community we serve.

What you'll be doing

Work with Management and employees to foster a risk free work place.

Develop, implement and monitor Environment, Health and Safety and management systems to protect our workforce and the local environment

Conduct risk assessments, inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards

Provide training and support to employees on safety protocols and environmental best practices

Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Promote and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations





Collaborate with management to continuously improve our HSE performance

Maintain detailed records and reporting on all HSE activities

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or a related discipline

Relevant experience in a similar HSE role, preferably in the construction or waste management industries

Thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation, standards and best practices

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Solid problem-solving, analytical and report-writing abilities

Proficient in the use of relevant HSE software and data management systems

Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement
