Senior Sentence Management Operations Officer Clerk Grade 5/6

24 hr Processing/Lodgement Unit

Corrective Services NSW

Location - Francis Greenway Correctional Complex (Windsor)

Hybrid Team – Work from home opportunities (based on roster allocation)

Employment Type – Temporary, Fulltime up to 24 months

Clerk Grade 5/6 Salary – $99,938 - $110,271 plus superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

The Senior Sentence Management Operations Officer you will play a critical role in supporting the accurate administration of inmate records and sentence management processes. Working both independently and as part of a team, you will deliver high-quality administrative and records management services that directly impact the lawful detention and timely release of inmates.

You’ll be responsible for core processing activities within a Sentence Management Operations unit, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all aspects of your work. This includes liaising with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining data integrity, and delivering a range of administrative support functions.

What You’ll Do

Key accountabilities

- Accurately record all custodial and non-custodial court orders in the CSNSW database, ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements
- Process documentation and updates relating to new custody inmates, including advice received from courts and tribunals
- Understand legal orders, legislation and the criminal justice system.
- Ability to monitor orders/warrants for potential anomalies and elevate as appropriate.
- Mentor, supervise and train sentence management officers in performance of their functions.

You will have strong technical skills which will help you plan and prioritise to successfully achieve positive outcomes for the team.

utilise your proven experience and knowledge to meet the demands of this role effectively. Resilience, high attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are the key attributes to succeed in this fast-paced role.

Essential Requirements

- Must be able to undertake shift work – The Lodgement/Processing Unit operates 24hrs 7 days a week on a rotating 12-week roster.
- Shifts as follows A watch – 6am-2pm, 10am-6pm, D watch – 12am -8pm, C watch 2pm-10pm & B Watch 10pm-6am.
