An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Library Assistant to support the school's Library and Digital Learning team during a short-term assignment.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Digital Learning and Research , your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day operation of the library
- Maintaining and organising the library collection
- Preparing and managing library equipment and resources
- Supporting students with research and information literacy skills
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service to students and staff
- Assisting with general library administration and circulation duties
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous library administration experience within a school setting (high school experience highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport across the school community
- Strong database and Microsoft Office skills
- A proactive, organised and flexible approach to your work
- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a collaborative team
- A current Working with Children Check (essential)
- A current First Aid Certificate (highly regarded)
