Job Overview
Team: Consular & Document Practice EMEA (CADP). Location: Sydney, Australia. Position: US‐qualified attorney (member of a US State Bar) to provide US legal advice in connection with US Consular Services across the region.
Responsibilities
Communicate with clients and colleagues on complex Consular case matters including refusal risks, processing trends, and criminal matters.
Liaise with US Embassies and Consulates and manage allocated client accounts and their active and inactive matters.
Supervise paralegal staff in record‐keeping and document preparation.
Review and troubleshoot case strategy, documents submitted by assignees, and drafted documents to ensure legal compliance and quality standards.
Draft correspondence to clients on complex matters and contribute to the firm's overall initiative to consistently improve its image internally and externally.
Qualifications
Member of a US State Bar Association.
Experience with Business Immigration law.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated attention to detail, robust analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Ability to multi‐task in a fast‐paced workplace, work independently and in a team, and contribute to a positive work environment.
