Paediatric Registered Nurse – Head of Health & Safety

Gracie, Australia's safety-first, female-led nanny agency, is seeking a Paediatric Registered Nurse to become our Head of Health & Safety. Working directly alongside our nurse CEO, you'll be the clinical and safety authority across the business — onboarding families and reviewing their medical needs, managing incidents end to end, keeping our 250 nannies' certifications and compliance up to date, and proactively driving new safety initiatives. This is a part‑time role (15 hours per week over 5 days, flexible hours and x1 day WFH) based in our brand-recent Melbourne office. Immediate start available.

Reporting to and partnering with our CEO, you'll be the clinical and safety authority across the business. Your work will directly shape how confidently families trust us with their children.

Day to day, you will:

Onboard new families — carefully reviewing each family's health and medical conditions, and ensuring their nanny is trained and confident in managing them

Own our incident management process end to end — logging, triaging and managing incidents with families and the wider team, with care and professionalism

Manage the ongoing currency of our nannies' certifications and compliance — including First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, Kidsafe and all supporting documentation — so our entire cohort of 250 employees stays fully up to date

Partner with our Compliance & HR Manager to complete all safety checks before any nanny is cleared to work with us

Lead ongoing education and consistently roll out new safety regulations and best practice across the whole Gracie team

Proactively identify, design and implement new safety initiatives — constantly looking for ways to improve how we protect and serve families

About you

Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration





3+ years' paediatric nursing and/or midwifery experience

Exceptional attention to detail — nothing slips past you

A warm, clear and confident communicator, whether with a worried family or your team

Highly professional, calm under pressure, and genuinely on the ball

A true team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

Proactive by nature — you don't wait to be asked; you're always thinking about what we could do better

Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
